Using an updated 18oz. slubby Indigo fabric that PBJ that has just added to their lineup in the past year, the modern Slim Tapered cut used on the XX-011 has been appropriated to this model. The fit is a true slim tapered with a tapered leg opening - a modern take on the slim straight silhouette. These are also available in both a Raw and One Wash fabric.

Like many of Pure Blue Japan's jeans, the fabric is of a low-tension shuttle loom, thus featuring the slubby and hairy feeling fabric common to Pure Blue Japan denim. The production of these jeans are constant through out every year in several different batches because the production ouput of the fabric is very limited.

The uniqueness of the slubby denim fabric, coupled with the small-scale production method, make this perfect fitting jean by Pure Blue Japan a true classic.

PBJ introduces the XX-015 which has a completely new shape- They are high rise, available in a wider waists, and make your legs slim and straight like cigarettes. They are slimmer than the slim straight and tapered higher than the tapered slim. 

The special feature of the XX is certainly its texture, the same as XX-003-005. PBJ used a special strong fibers dyed deep indigo to spin their threads and wove it together on a single shuttle loom to get strong rough texture perfect for jeans. The head of the weaving company made it possible to make a texture that is not made anywhere else and gave permission for the XX series.

• PBJ and its infamous low-tension looms have created pair after pair of wonderfully slubby and textured jeans, but the company has not rested on its laurels - the latest release from PBJ, the XX-020 “Pop-up Jeans”, solidifies their place in irregular denim dominance.
  While most raws fade to white, the Pop-ups have deep-dyed yarns which fade to a lighter blue instead, and the resulting evos are remarkable. When jeans fade, what physically occurs is the chemical-mechanical breakdown of the dye via sweat and friction. Jeans usually fade to white as most denim yarns are only partially dyed, but PBJ specifically deep-dyes theirs using an additional rope-dyeing step.
