This jeans uses a 100% cotton from a West African country, Cote d'ivoire. The cottons were all produced and harvested naturally by hands without the use of any machines. By using the said cottons and the old-fashioned loom of Japan you will enjoy the simple and familiar feeling of cottons' texture. Using a special tanning method that yields Bridle leather, the leather for this belt was tanned in England. Bridle leather is known for its special luster while still maintaining durability and functionality. Reinforced brass flat rivets and a sturdy brass buckle pair well with the thick, 1/6" cowhide leather to complete these fine pieces. The belts themselves are built to last in Okayama, and are available in three colors of tanned leather: Natural, Chocolat, and Black.

The fabric is a 14oz selvedge with both the warp and weft dyed to a pure dark indigo. The fabric is woven at a very slow speed with a loose tension, which takes much more time to produce but will result in a fabric that becomes much softer with wear. The low tension weave creates a unique variation and irregularity in the surface texture of the denim.

* The warp and weft yarns are both rope dyed in the same pure indigo. With rope dying, the core of the yarn will remain white, thus after wear and some indigo loss, the core of the yarn will be exposed, showing the white. This will result in a high contrast fade as the white core of the yarn is exposed behind the super dark pure indigo surface.
